3rd December - Christmas Fun Night

The club’s December meeting was thrown over as usual to the Christmas fun night organised by the committee with loads of fun and games to get involved in. Always well attended, members and their guests organised themselves into 5 fairly large teams in a friendly but competitive contest over several rounds of questions, quizzes and skill games.

The teams decided on their own team names at the start of the evening and then it was down to business!

With rounds including a chocolate tasting problem, Taboo, a mystery box to feel around inside and a chopsticks challenge everyone got into the spirit of the event. There was a music intros quiz, a general knowledge quiz about 2017, a tower to build from marshmallows and spaghetti, Christmas decorations to make and various other table activities to get involved in, some much harder than others! With the grand finale being the stretching out of the paper chains to see which team had made the longest (one stretched up and down the clubroom more than twice!)

So in the end it was a super evening that everyone seemed to enjoy, and the winners at the close were Rick, Robbie and Adrian’s team, narrowly beating the other teams by a margin of just a few points. Prizes in the form of chocolates were handed out as is customary at this time of year!

It was a super evening and thanks go to all our members and their guests for really getting into the spirit of the evening and getting involved in this annual evening of fun and laughter. The committee hope you enjoyed it as much as we did when we were putting it all together!
