8th January - Club Night - Dixon Shows Get Ready

Our first meeting of the New Year isn’t until the 8^th January – as the 1^st was a bank holiday we postponed things for a week.

The meeting will be a ‘get ready’ for the Dixon shows, so please, if you’re due to perform, bring all the details of your act with you so that we can ensure that there are no effect repeats on the same night. Similarly, if you intend to use music in your act, please bring it with you on CD so that I can compile a single disc for each evening as per last year. I can’t stress how important this is – we only have a few weeks left before curtain up and we need to work together to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. Adrian is working really hard to pull it all together but we’ll only be successful if you help out by doing your bit too. We don’t really want a last minute rush to get things finalised, as the stress levels are high enough already!

If you want to perform your act as a rehearsal, the January meeting is an excellent opportunity to do that, so please do make the most of the time available and bring your act with you if you need to run it past a sympathetic and helpful audience.
