6th December - Annual Christmas Fun Night
On 6th December we held our usual end of year festive fun night, consisting of various quizzes and challenges for all who attend. In the end we had 5 teams competing for the prize of a big tin of Roses, and it was a hotly fought battle over a series of ten rounds.
With mini marathons such as ‘spot the bands’, ‘spot the brands’, ‘numbers’ and ‘instrument anagrams’; plus music and TV theme quizzes; and a number of balance and hand to eye skills tests, everyone agreed that loads of fun was had by all.
The five teams were ‘Selection Box’ (Dean and Lewis plus guests), ‘And the Winners Are’ (Rick and guests), ‘5 Stars’ (James, Alan and Leon and guests), ‘May Contain Nuts’ (Adrian’s family and guests) and ‘Sausage Rolls’ (Robbie and guests).
After a very close competition, which was nip and tuck all the way, the team with the highest score at the close of play was ‘May Contain Nuts’, so well done to them for just beating ‘Sausage Rolls’ into second place!

Additionally at the meeting we welcomed James Gilroy to the club. James passed his audition at the previous meeting, so it was a real pleasure to present his membership certificate and badge to him. Welcome aboard James!
