2nd August - Club Night
The last meeting held on 2nd August, was a club night during the height of the holiday season, but there were still 11 members, 2 family members and 1 guest in attendance. As usual, after the roundup of news and notices from Adrian and the shows update from Rick, the evening was an enjoyable opportunity for members to show off their latest tricks and purchases; and to learn new effects from others.
Also at the meeting, the first showing of the club’s new banners for use at shows took place. Everyone agreed that the two pull up banners look very professional and will add an additional touch of presence to the shows – the idea is to situate one on each side of the stage area.
As reported last month, Barrie’s magic were not available to attend the August meeting, so Barrie has now been re-booked for the July 2010 meeting.
