3rd August - Club Night

As this meeting is right in the middle of the holiday season, and some people were away, this was a great opportunity for some small group work and some one to one help with effects and tricks, or presentation ideas. 

The evening started with Adrian and Rick giving the parish notices about the forthcoming dinner and club shows. After that Ryan Sholem showed us the stage act that he has been working on, which included a watch to silk transition, needle through arm, appearing 10 foot pole, and so on. James Holdsworth followed up with a couple of effects using the crystal tube silk prop in which silks are pushed singly into the tube but emerge tied together. Finally Stuart Burrell gave us a demonstration of some bridge jumper type handcuffs which Ryan could not escape from.   

After this, the meeting broke as usual into small groups for some individual work on different sleights and tricks; and we had several balloon models created during the evening as well. 

The club night was as always well attended, and we were pleased to welcome some first time guests to the meeting, who we hope will go on to join in the coming months.
