1st June - Club Night

1st June saw one of our club nights take place, where various members got up to perform their routines for the assembled audience. Well done to James Holdsworth who got the evening off to a flying start with a 40 minute full act, which included various productions and vanishes, the magic drawing board, the squared circle and a Rocky the Raccoon routine amongst other effects (too numerous to list them all!). James pretty much involved everyone in the audience at some point - well done!

Simon Shapero was up next, peforming a number of effects including an appearing silks effect, orange to tennis ball and a 21 card trick, as well as disappearing and re-appearing his magic wand.

Jonah Ripley came up to perform a mentalism effect where Rob was asked to draw a picture - only to be reproduced by Jonah through the power of mind reading.

Wally demonstrated some of the ring and rope work he is well known for, and Richard Graham finished off the session with an impromptu 'levitation' of 4 people. Thanks also go to Rick for bringing his stage backcloth and lights along to the meeting.

Following the stage acts, various members formed small groups around the room to show each other some of their close-up work. This continued until the meeting closed - another very enjoyable night for all who attended.
