Shows

13th October - Westcliff High School for Girls

        160 tickets had been sold for this show organised by the school’s PTA, and

       on the night 150 adults and young teenagers sat at 16 tables (with

       England playing France in the rugby World Cup, 10 guests decided to stay

       at home!)

       Twelve close-uppers (Wally, Stuart C, Stuart B, Mark, Alan, Ray, Jayson,

       Barry, Chris C, Ryan and Sam together with Colin from MEMS) entertained

       6 tables each in the first hour with Audrey in charge of timekeeping and

       organising and 10 question magic quiz for each of the tables who didn’t

       have a magician for the first four outings.

       Following a massive buffet and the raffle, the second half consisted of

       three stage acts, namely Stuart B doing his usual escapology routine;

       Mark performing his first club stage act which went very well with lots of

       audience participation; and Wally who closed the evening with Vanishing

       Bandanna, his silk routine and a successful ‘mission impossible’!

       A great evening enjoyed by all, especially those who performed for the first

       time and now can’t wait to do it again. Positive feedback from the PTA

       will hopefully also result in more future bookings.
